Project, Sub Project and Activity

Projects

In Tidsbanken, prosjekter store information about the company’s projects or orders. The project data model allows external systems to synchronize necessary information so employees can register time on active projects.

Typical usage includes sending project number, name, responsible employee, department, status, and dates from an external system into Tidsbanken. Projects can be opened or closed for time registration by updating the relevant fields.

For full technical field definitions and validation rules, please refer to the official documentation.

Sub Projects

Prosjektlinjer represent subprojects, phases, or job segments under a parent project. This structure allows employees to register time at a more detailed level. A project line must be linked to a project and may also be linked to a department. Project lines can be independently opened or closed for time entry.

  • ProsjektLinjeId: Unique identifier for the project line.

  • Navn: Name of the project line or job.

  • Notat: Additional description or notes related to the work.

  • StartDato: Planned start date for the project line.

  • FerdigDato: Planned completion date for the project line.

  • Avsluttet: Indicates whether the project line is closed for further time registration.

  • AvsluttetDato: Planned or actual date when the project line was closed.

  • AnsvarligId: Employee ID of the responsible foreman or manager.

  • ProsjektId: Reference to the project this project line belongs to.

  • AvdelingId: Department associated with the project line.

Full details and validation rules are available in the official documentation.

Activity

In Tidsbanken, aktivitet represent the lowest level of work classification used for registering time. An activity can describe a specific task, work operation, or unit of work.

Activities can be:

  • Linked to a Prosjekt

  • Linked to a Prosjektlinje

  • Or created independently, with no project connection
(for example: administrative tasks, internal work categories, general time codes)

This makes activities flexible and suitable both for project-driven work and general business processes.

Recommended fields

  • Id: Unique identifier for the activity.

  • Navn: Name of the activity shown to employees during time registration.

  • Notat: Additional description or context for the activity.

  • ProsjektId: Reference to the project the activity belongs to (optional).

  • ProsjektLinjeId: Reference to the project line the activity belongs to (optional).

  • Startet: Indicates whether the activity has been started.

  • StartDato: Planned or actual start date of the activity (optional).

  • Avsluttet: Indicates whether the activity has been closed for further registration.

  • AvsluttetDato: Date when the activity was closed (optional).
